Harambee 360 Black Arts Festival: Celebrating 50 Years in Fredericksburg

September 26–28, 2025 marks a major milestone for Fredericksburg, Virginia, as the Harambee 360 Black Arts Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary. For five decades, this vibrant event has honored the creativity, history, and community spirit of Black arts in Fredericksburg. This year’s festival promises a weekend full of performances, live music, food, and cultural connection in the heart of downtown.
Friday, September 26 – Opening Celebration at Fredericksburg Area Museum (6:30 PM)
The festival begins with a powerful performance by original Harambee 360 members at the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Market Square. Attendees can experience the roots of the movement and see the legacy of Black arts come alive on stage.
Saturday, September 27 – All-Day Celebration at Walker-Grant Center (12:00–7:00 PM)

Sunday, September 28 – 10:00am Community Service at Shiloh Baptist (New Site)
The weekend closes with a joyful worship service, inviting the entire community to celebrate unity, reflection, and gratitude for fifty years of Black cultural excellence in Fredericksburg.
